Aahhh... retirement.

Somehow I thought the couches at retirement were going to be bigger...

OneTooth continues to learn and enjoy life off the track. He is eager to please and can easily switch from lounging around, to a good long walk to an intense came of tennis ball tossing in the yard, or better yet chasing squirrels. Whatever you want to do is just fine with him! We have met several large dogs on our walks, and he is friendly and eager to great everyone, hound and human alike. The neighbor kids love to pet him through the fence and he just leans into them with his eyes closed with contentment at all the scritches.

He is tolerant of just about everything I have tried to do to him. You can even snuggle right up to him on his dogbed for a shared snooze if you want. He is not afraid of slippery floors, or stairs... he doesn't even move all the time when the vaccum cleaner gets close enough to touch him. Would you like to add this confident fella to your couch?

The foster life

We have had OneTooth in foster for a little over week now. He is an absolute gem of a hound! Although he came to us a bit of a “bull in a china shop” he had made an amazing turn around. He is curious and eager to “help” you in whatever you may be doing by sticking his nose in there. He is not afraid of the vaccum cleaner, hair dryers, garage door, lawn mowers, etc. He is very curious, and confident. He eagerly solicits attention from our neighborhood kids at the fence.

As with the previous post, he LOVES tennis balls!! But he has learned to play with other toys in the yard as well. If you throw it, he will chase it! (and most of the time bring it back). He has a very soft mouth in that he sort of licks the treats from your hand, he does not grab them at all. He is not a kisser, but he will stand with his head tucked into your chest fro as long as you choose to scratch his neck and love on him.

He’s been sleeping loose in our room at night and settles quickly onto his own dogbed at night, but sometimes I will see him lying on the floor with his head on the bed of our own hound. I am amazed at this, because my own hound usually does not appreciate such closeness, but OneTooth is such a lovable fellow that he doesn’t mind in the least! OneTooth has no space issues on or off his bed, and has discovered that belly rubs are awesome! He is very tolerant of all handling: tail, ears, teeth, feet, everything. He as been great in the house, crated during the day while we are at work, but loose at in the evenings, weekends and at night with no housebreaking issues.

If you are looking for an active and attentive buddy, this guy is for you! But don’t be fooled, he is just as happy crashing in the den for an evening of watching hockey too!

Must love tennis balls

This guy just loves tennis balls. If you want a tennis hound, here's your man. Of course, he would also love other toys to chew on, lots of them actually. He has more than one tooth. He knows where they are. He wants to go home with you & have lots of great ball chasing, toy chewing fun. Won't you make his dreams come true?

Onetooth is such a sweet boy. He has the sweetest face and a long, lanky body. Although he couldn't enjoy a long walk because of weather he was gentle on the leash while talking his stroll today.
